Join the Cypress Chamber of Commerce as we host the Cypress City Council Candidate Forum for the 2022 city Council Election. In an effort to engage the community and make businesses aware of the potential candidates, the Cypress Chamber has been conducting city council candidate forums for over four decades.

Three seats on the Cypress City Council are up for consideration this year and the candidates include:
 

David Burke

Carrie Hayashida

Helen Le

Terry Miller

Scott Minikus

Bonnie Peat

Rachel Strong
 

This year the event will be held live at Cypress College on Wednesday September 28th from 6:00pm-8:30pm. It will take place in the College Complex/Administration Building on the 4th floor in Room 414 (see images below). The Candidate Forum will be moderated by Chamber Board member, Lisa Davis. Due to pandemic restrictions and the video recording of this event, seating is very limited and will quickly reach capacity. Doors open at 5:45pm and no one will be seated after 6:25pm to assure a strict 6:30pm start time.

Good news, though! The event recording will be made available on many social media platforms via YouTube. And you can still participate from home. Submit your questions for this year’s candidates no later than 24 hours in advance to info@cypresschamber.org and we will ask as many questions as possible in the time permitted.
