Cypress High School is Hosting the Capstone Interview Showcase Project

Cypress High School is looking for business professionals to provide help with their Capstone Interview Showcase project. The Chamber of Commerce is helping to put out the word for this great project for high school seniors. The Capstone Project Showcase will be held over 3 days, but adult volunteers can choose to sign up for one or ALL of the weekdays that they are available in April.

Here’s how it all works. Each of the dates in April – 10th, 11th and 17th – the Showcase will run from 7:50-9:30am. It is best to get there a few minutes early to park your car. Your time commitment will be just around two hours total each day.

The first ten minutes will be a check-in for the business participants. The team will provide you with a quick overview of the process along with coffee and light refreshments.

Once assigned to a panel, you will be guided to the room where the student showcase will take place. As a panelist, you will work with a Cypress High Staff member who will be the lead.

Graduating high school seniors will come in at their assigned time and share their best work with the panel and make a presentation articulating their preparedness for college.

Panelists will be provided with a guide of sample questions to help guide the discussion, but we are also looking for the perspective of the adult as a community member, so the questions will just serve as a guideline.

Depending on the number of community volunteers we receive, the panelists will see 3-5 student presentations.

No special experience is needed, just the ability to observe a student presentation and then briefly interact with the students to guide them for life after high school.
