Woman’s Club of Cypress Meeting - Keynote Speaker: Dr. Marissa Pei

Dr. Marissa Pei, author of “8 Ways to Happiness from Wherever You Are,” is the guest speaker at the upcoming Woman’s Club of Cypress meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, January 8, 10:00 am, at the Cypress Community Center, 5700 Orange Avenue, Cypress.

The author is the celebrity host of the 2016 Podcast of the Year Top 10 in Health Award winning show, “Take My Advice, I’m Not Using It: Get Happy with Dr. Marissa.” Her podcast is syndicated on iHeartRadio and CNBC. She is an organizational psychologist, speaking consultant, and motivational speaker.

Billed as the “Asian Oprah,” Dr. Pei’s show guests have featured past Oprah guests including Dr. John Gray and Marianne Williamson, TV icon MaryAnn from Gilligan’s Island, and Laila Ali. As a red-carpet MC and celebrity host, she has interviewed Halle Berry, John Travolta, and Quincy Jones.

Winner of the 2014 Asian Heritage Award, 2012 Asian Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and recognition as the 2017 Iconic Woman Creating a Better World for All, she has now added the title of author to her achievements.

In an increasingly non-stop world, her message is, “If what you look at outside of you is stressing you out, quit looking at it.” Her further message is, “There will always be pain in life, but suffering is optional.” Her message of choosing to not be distracted by social media and other forces, resonates with her followers.

The Woman’s Club of Cypress has a membership of 86 community-minded women whose motto is Friendship with a Purpose. Club members raise money throughout the year to fund college scholarships for Cypress residents and philanthropic donations to non-profit organizations.
